To move encounter documentation to the correct patient account:
- Schedule an appointment for the correct patient
- In the correct encounter, manually enter the information found in the encounter sections of the incorrect encounter
- Delete any orders associated with the encounter for the incorrect patient
- Re-enter orders into correct patient encounter
- Remove incorrect diagnosis that were added to the patient's Problems section
- Once all information has been moved to the correct encounter, close the correct encounter
- Delete the incorrect encounter
