There is a specific process to create a link that will work every time (a permalink) to share a policy stat policy. Policy Owners, Area Editors, Area Managers, or Site Administrators all have the ability to generate a Read-Only Policy Share Link to share a policy they own (or oversee).
See KB below for process. The owner of the Policy or site admin (Kathleen McSchooler) has access.
How do I share a Policy?
1. Open the policy you wish to print
2. Click the Share button above the policy at the top right
3. Options for sharing will appear
- Guest Access allows individuals to view the policy without logging in and allows access to all unrestricted policies on the site. Click Copy and paste the link to share. Users will also be able to view changes since the last version of the document.
- Email PDF will email a direct link to a PDF of the policy. Click Send Email to select your email client and send the link to an individual.
- RSS Feed will allow you to be notified of any changes made to the policy. Click Copy and paste the link into whatever service you use to manage your RSS Feed. Users will also be able to view changes since the last version of the document.
- Read-Only will allow you to create and view existing Read-Only Share Links of the policy. To create a new Read-Only Share Link, click the Create Link button, type in a description, and click Add Share Link. The link only allows access to view this policy and does not allow access to other policies in the system. Click Copy to copy the link. You can assign multiple Read-Only Share links on a policy and delete them at any time.
4. Click the X in the top right corner of the pop-up to close and return to the policy.
