Westcom server troubleshooting tips when encountering issues with the inpatient Nurse Call system.

There can only be one instance of either the service or application for each of the Westcom software.

Ex: Westcom Liaison server service is set to run constantly in the background. When opening the Westcom Liaison server application (opening the executable from file explorer or the desktop) to check on the settings, this will cause issues until the application is closed as there are now two instances of the Liaison server being open. One is the service and one is the application.

Preferably, make sure the application is closed before exiting the Westcom Server to avoid issues.

When there is an issue with the Historian not populating dates, it is most likely because the TQILogger was not open.
The TQILogger is what creates the log files that will dumb into the Historian SQL database.
The TQILogger is also the only Westcom software that does not function properly as a service. The TQILogger application will need to stay open and the profile logged into will need to stay logged in so that the application does not stop.
The active days where the logger is dumping its data will be in the E: drive > TQIData > Backup, you will see the dates that the TQILogger was active represented there as files for each day.
