If a user is setting up a new ultrasound machine that is a Philips brand here is how you will connect it to the network. *Note that Amanda will still need to connect it to DICOM, there will likely need to be a DHCP reservation made, and that some sites like Westfield use MINDRAY Ultrasound machines which have a much clearer setup process than the Philips.

  • Go into settings or setup menu to pull up settings options
  • There should be a tab that is Network DICOM
  • Network type should be changed to Wireless (it may be a drop down menu selection here)
  • Then when you see the options for Wireless networks find OI Data and click connect
  • Below this it will appear in Available Wireless Profiles
  • Click on OI Data to highlight it here and click on Properties
  • It should be set to WPA2-Enterprise, but if not change it from WPA2-PSK to ENTERPRISE
  • An option for Network Authentication will appear and select PEAP-TLS
  • Then click SETTINGS next to that
  • Uncheck the box that says Verify Server ID with Certificate
  • Then select Inner EAP Type
  • Secured Password option
  • Then the fields for a Username and Password will appear
  • Enter a fixed OI Data Profile (in this instance I used MoxeeTab)
  • Click OK
  • Check DICOM settings to see if there are Green Checks next to Fujipacs and Local Host showing connection (if no connection make sure it is showing connected to OI Data then talk with Amanda etc)
  • Then you can exit out of that menu (upper right) and go to Patient data and work list to see if it pulls data.
